Beginner running courses are 9 week courses designed for people who are new to running or who would like to return to running after an injury or period of inactivity. This fun and supportive course will take you from being a non-runner to running 5km continuously! The course is based on one group run and two ‘homework runs’ per week. As well as running, the course covers running posture, strength training to support your running and looking after your pelvic floor.
These sessions are designed for runners that can already run for around 30 minutes continuously and would like some help to take their running to the next level! The sessions will vary from week to week and will include 5km runs, hill training, intervals, & fartlek etc. Some weeks there will be some strength training at the end of the sessions to help support your running.
During Lockdown these sessions will be replaced with online strengthening classes via Zoom. These classes will work on full body strengthening, with the focus being on strengthening for running. You will need a small amount of space, a mat or towel to lie on, water and if you have any resistance bands or hand held weights there will be options to advance some exercises using these.
Payment is to be made prior to the class (payment details link at the bottom of this page) and text/WhatsApp confirmation to 07849106150 in order to receive the Zoom invite.
To book onto either of these courses please download & complete the PARQ Form, and e-mail across to firstname.lastname@example.org, stating which course you would like to be booked onto.
Payment is to be made in full in advance by bank transfer. Alternatively you can pay in full via cash at the first session.
